OTR People’s Garden

A community garden made up of 4 vacant lots located on 49 E. McMicken Ave in Over-the-Rhine. It was the first community garden in Cincinnati, established in 1980! I was drawn to the garden years ago because it is an excellent example of people coming together to improve a neighborhood in the heart of Over-the-Rhine(OTR). I’m a graduate of the Civic Garden Center’s Community Garden Development Training program and serve as the volunteer garden coordinator for OTR People's Garden.

Sunrock Farm

After 38 years of educating and inspiring the community, Sunrock Farm finally closed its gates to the public a few years ago. My husband and I were instantly inspired by this amazing couple and the educational farm they created. We especially loved how the farm was dedicated to providing children and visitors with a rich and varied experience - emphasizing the senses and the realization that we are deeply connected to the natural world. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be there, growing a large portion of my cut flowers in Sunrock Farm’s garden.

East End Flower Lot

I’m excited to share that the Flower Lady is expanding! This 1/3rd-acre vacant lot obtained through the city’s Urban Agricultural Program will be full of flowers by Spring 2022. Stay tuned!
